Ray Adkins, devoted husband of Dorothy Adkins (né Coates); loving father of Robert and Graham, revered grandfather of Ruth, Heather, Erica, Emily and Toby; and proud great grandfather of Perephone, Ida, Sebastian and Joseph, recorded his experiences and interests throughout his life. He was a very talented artist who used watercolour, oil paints, pencil, collage text and photography to explore and share his experiences, thoughts, views and interests. These pages are a tribute to him and his work.
The Archive takes the form of a large, handmade book of some 96 pages. These pages are presented below as themed galleries of still images and as animated slide sequences of close ups of images within the each page with accompanying audio.
This website presents a tiny fraction of Ray’s artistic creation which includes journals, paintings, sketches and tapes.
